Fixed Fee Appointment

If you are looking for advice on your next steps regarding a commercial or civil dispute, then you may wish to speak to a solicitor about your issues.

At Lamb Brooks we offer a Fixed Fee appointment. This initial appointment can be held over the phone, via Teams/Zoom or in person at our office.

Your Fixed Fee appointment gives you up to 60 minutes of advice with one of our Dispute Resolution Experts.

After your appointment you may feel confident to attempt resolving the dispute yourselves armed with the knowledge gained from your meeting, or at that point you might instruct Lamb Brooks to act on your behalf and take the reins. You can always come back to us if needed.

Understandably, at times, people are looking for free advice. This is available via the Citizens Advice Bureau and is often a good starting point to find some basic guidance before taking legal action, but any free advice that you receive will be limited and should be treated with caution.

We seek to deal with matters proactively from the outset as often what happens at the very start of a dispute has a big impact on how things proceed thereafter. Our lawyers will charge a modest fee to in order to give clients tailored advice in accordance to the regulations set out by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

Your Appointment With Us

To make the most of your time our Legal Assistant will take some basic information from you and ask that you send over any documents that you wish us to look over in advance of the meeting. This will help our Solicitor to have some background facts ahead of the appointment and be able to give you the best route forward.

For your first appointment we will need to confirm your identification, so please bring with you;

Photo ID (e.g. your passport or photo driving licence)
Proof of address (e.g. a bank statement, utility bill or council tax letter from within the past 3 months

If you are meeting us over a telephone or video meeting, then we will ask that copies of the above are scanned / emailed to us or brought into the office ahead of the meeting.

It is important to remember that this is YOUR appointment and we want you to gain the most from it so that you can make the best decision to help resolve your dispute and move forward. It is advisable to write down any questions that you want to ask ahead of time and feel free to take notes during the appointment.
