Children’s Injuries
Children Injury Claims
Understandably if your child has suffered an injury you are likely to feel very emotional and angry. As parents we try to protect our children from physical harm, but unfortunately accidents beyond our control occur every day. If an accident or incident has occurred that is the fault of another party then you may be able to make a claim on your child’s behalf.
Children or babies can be hurt in the same way as adults, from road traffic accidents, trips or falls, to accidents on holiday and injuries sustained in parks, leisure facilities or public places.
As the parent or guardian you are able to make a claim on their behalf if they are under 18. Personal injury claims have a 3 year limitation period, but for a minor this 3 year period dies not start until their 18th birthday, so essentially they have until they are 21 to submit a personal injury claim.
A young person has their whole life ahead of them, so if they have suffered a life-altering injury or an injury that will impact on their education, their ability to work, or enjoy an expected quality of life, then the claim may be quite sizeable.
Call us today to discuss your child’s circumstances and we can assist you on taking the claim forward. Our experts can be reached on 01256 844888 or by emailing enquiries@lambbrooks.com
